It's actually the same as in the beta, functionally: You need to equip your syringe (by default in the '4' slot), then press the button to fill the syringe with magic revive meds and inject a fallen ally. However, you can only do it if they have the skull symbol above their head, meaning that they haven't rushed to the map screen and opted out of a revive.Players are shown which medics are near, and how close they are, so they should know if a medic is coming. Some are eager to respawn with a new kit, though, so rushing to them can sometimes be all for naught.
Stuff like that deterred me from bothering with Revive.I do not use Revive because with Doom 3 Vr, Serious Sam, BAM, Space Pirates, and many more great Vive games, I acutally feel like I have a good library of VR games to keep me busy for a while, which is good because VR is all I play anymore.I just get a little annoyed when I see Oculus only games. I haven't come across one that is so amazing, I just had to get it working.Grand Theft Auto VR would change that, but the VorpX version isn't any good. OP, using revive is quite easy, mostly on the new versions (earlier you had to do some steps). Just download ReviveInstaller.exe, install and then fire up your steamvr.
Now on the bottom part of the VR gui you'll have a REVIVE button/section where you can launch games that are not available through steamvr originally (oculus games).OpenVR is the api, that is like saying Direct3D or OpenGL, is the way your computer 'talks' to the device. Given that both Oculus and Vive support OpenVR is the.standard. way of talking to these devices. Attila total war vikings. Originally posted by:So you prefer Opener to SteamVR beta?I've heard good things about revive and N Dolphin software. Along with others. The revive installer is all you need? What are the other 2 download files for? Thanks!
The two files do you mean the source code? Or something else that is not there any more? (sorry these was in my backlog for a while now:P)If with Opener you mean OpenVR then il need to tell you that SteamVR and OpenVR is the same thingOpenVR is the API, SteamVR is the same thing, with Steam integration but over all its the same thing. Originally posted by:That's news to me(they're the same), I'm glad though. But I still can't adjust my own SS settings, which is frustrating. Even in Advanced Settings there was no SS adjustment.
I need to look again. How much do people use Revive? Def want to try it.
I don't use much of the oculus stuff, really just deleted Home lately XDBut over all its worth to just have it around, it dose not real harm so far, and just seem to help to get access to that if you likeIts easy to install, updates are deviled to youNo reason not to put it in i think.
